Kyle won tickets to see Chicago (the band) and REO Speedwagon last night for being a smartass troll on Facebook. Mom, this is definitely your jam! The bassist from REO has the most beautiful hair in the world. Let it flow, man. Thanks to CJ at KLBJ 93.7 for the seats. Cheers! 👩🍻👨
This photo changed my life. My dad taught me a few things about his camera, gave me a roll of film, and sent me on my way. I went outside and took this photo of Shasta puppy on our back porch in El Paso. I was so proud of it - it actually came out and Shasta looked right at me - a near impossible feat! This was the moment I became a photographer and I got to share it with the best dog in the world. It’s been two weeks since we said goodbye. He loved us so much and I miss him everyday. #NationalDogDay
8/22/2014 - Standing in front of our cleared building site! The sun was in our eyes, as if you didn’t know! Met with a dock builder to get a bid today. Also considering buying our neighbor’s Hurricane boat!
Congratulations to my parents! They have finally broken ground on building their dream home!
Scenes from the forthcoming film “Life Story of the Black Swallowtail Butterfly,” imagined to “BomBom” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, featuring the Teaching, from the album “The Heist” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.
Thank you to Macklemore, Ryan Lewis, and The Teaching, for providing the opportunity to imagine my film to the gorgeous BomBom soundtrack. From the first moment I heard the music I thought it perfect to tell the story of the butterflies with its beautiful piano, range of dynamic beats, and quirky sounds..
"Life Story of the Black Swallowtail Butterfly" is a narrated 45-minute film that takes place in a garden and at the sea’s edge. All stages of the butterfly’s life cylce are shown in beautiful close-up, from conception to pupation to metamorphosis. The film is created for children and adults, so that everyone of all ages can gain a deeper understanding of the essential role pollinators and wildflowers play in our ecosystem. Filmed in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
The North American native wildflower Common Milkweed is featured in “BomBom Butterflies”. Since 1999, more than half of the milkweed found throughout the nation’s farmland has been destroyed by the use of Monsanto’s herbicide Roundup and Roundup Ready genetically engineered corn and soybean seed. Common Milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) is the primary food plant for the Monarch Butterfly caterpillar and its nectar-rich florets provide nourishment for hundreds of species of bees and Lepidoptera.
This is @lindseygerson’s new typewriter. You have to really punch the “t” down, but it works! I wrote a page about my butterfly to test it out called “Metamorphosis.” Fred is still in his cocoon - hopefully he’ll fly out in a couple of days! (at The Balcony Garden)
I love this guy. #Batman (at Austin Bat Festival)
